What's the point of me going on Facebook if I don't know anybody? Is there any point?

I've been writing in the status area, but if I have no contacts on it I don't see who's going to read them apart from myself. Is it any good when you use it and get more people? Can you get famous people from twitter to read them instead I'd you don't really know anyone?

If you don't have friends on facebook then what on earth is the point of you having one? The main point of it is to stay connected to people.

You can use Facebook for just Chatting or liking pages
Most people get a Facebook just to chat with friends an post pictures
I'm pretty sure you have some friends with Facebooks.
