You cant delete it but u can deactivate it

U can only deactivate it... ur profile won't show up on friends list and if ppl search for u it won't come up... its like deleting it but u can always go bk on it when ur ready...

You can't delete it "for good", but you can deactivate it and as long as you never log back on, it's gone.

Go to "Account settings" > Security (on the left hand side) > "Deactivate your account".

If you decide to reactivate it, all you have to do is log back on.

go to account settings. And click security... in there you can DEACTIVATE your fb account.
after the deactivation don't go again to the account.
