hey, i use win8 and find my-self using fb all the times ! how can i stop (control) my self from doing this ??? how do i block fb on my computer ?

Easy. DON'T GO TO FACEBOOK!! Have self control, god people like you are the reason why teens do drugs. No self control.

i you wanna block the f b then go to setting and you will find privacy setting there is different icons can be seen you just have to deactived your profile

Go to >settings and privacy then click account an at the bottom it says deactivate the click it it should be highlighted blue and it will take you to a page wher they ask you password and account stuff and then you can deactivate.

press (windows key + r) this will open run prompt.

enter this %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\

it will open a file explorer which will have a file name HOSTS in it.

open that file using notepad.

at last line enter this-> 127.0.0.1 http://www.facebook.com


Basically this tell the computer to open 127.0.0.1 address when you try to open facebook.com, the address is of your local computer and it will show an error and wont open.

If you want to use facebook again.. delete that last line..

Hey! I used to have that problem ALL the time, it stops you from doing any work, so I deactivated my account. Now I barely go on it because I got so used to not having it, however, i deactivated my account for half a year before I went back on.

So, it depends on what you want to do really. That is, if you want to stop using Facebook for a while on all devices, I suggest you deactivate your account. However, if you want to block Facebook from you computer I can tell you how to do that as well.

To deactivate your account:

Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page
Select Account Settings
Click Security in the left-hand column
Click Deactivate your account.
You can re-activate your account by logging back into it whenever you want.

To block Facebook on a Windows computer:
(For this to work, you have to have only one administrator account and you should give that account someone else, or have someone set a different password for it as otherwise you'll be tempted to undo the settings).

Press the Start button and the choose the Control Panel option on the left column.
Once you click on that, another window should pop up. Click on the User Accounts and Family Safety.
After that, click on Parental Controls.
From here you can click on any account you want or create a new account.
If you have additional parent controls like Web Filtering, you can click on that set the websites you would like to block.
If you don't have additional controls, you can go to these websites that will explain which one to use and how to do it:

Try to Control your Self and Dont Use Facebook if you Cant Help It At All Than Try Going into the Router Set up Page there Should be Parental Controls Use them And you Can Block Facebook

If you Dont Have Parental Controls On your Router than Install a Website Blocker Software
