Underage girl on Facebook?

I sent a girl who was 16 a message on Facebook without knowing she was 16 it's was a really sweet message. Nothing sexual or disrespectful at all. The message was sent in Pennsylvania where the age of consent is 16. I only sent that one message before I knew she was 16 is this illegal? I didn't say anything sexual at all an I had no idea she was 16

It's not illegal to send an underage girl a nice, non-sexually charged message. But I'm confused that you didn't know her age. Is she a stranger? Because that is a bit inappropriate.

Umm.. in my memory sending sweet non-sexual non-disrespectful messages is allowed to girls of any age in any country. I'm pretty sure you're fine.
