how do i find a person on facebook if i don't know their last name?

i met a friend today and i forgot to ask their last name.i know their first name so i went on facebook to find them with no such luck.i think the reason is that none of my facebook friends are friends with him and if i search him only mutal people with the same name pop up help me please

Try real life for a change.

Just try searching look the pictures carefully. if you recongnize them send a request that what I can suggest its hard to find without a surname but try.
Or if you meet him/her just ask his/her name

If it's an unusual name you should be able to search through all the results and find them by profile picture but if it's a common name (e.g. ben, emily etc) it will be extremely difficult to find whatever you do unless you spend hours scrolling through results. :)xx

Maybe you remember other details, like where they live, their age, their appearance etc. After that, it's simply a matter of typing in their first name and looking through all the profile for the right picture and details.
