How to make your photos on Instagram more tumblr-y?

I have an instagram, with about 481 followers, and I want to start putting more effort into my photos to get more likes. Follow me if youd like @sarah_boudalxoxo
In other words, I want to make my instagram photos more girly, and tumblr-y. Any tips?

Also, what's that app that makes your instagram photos have that horizontal white border around it, so that the picture is a rectangle? I can't find it anywhere. Im not looking for the app that has the border on the left and right sides of the picture (I already have that app) I need the one that has the border on top and bottom.

The app with the white background is called whitagram there's also another one called "square ready". I prefer whitagram. And a good app for special effects is Pixlr Express.
