How is it possible to have 1000+ friends on facebook?

I am in high school, and many of my friends have over 1000 friends on facebook. Is it possible(to become friends with 1000+ people and/or know 1000+ people)? And is it a good thing or bad thing?

Yes Its Possible just add friends you have in common with friends and the list which says people you may know. its not about good or bad but you may not get true friends here. if its only for show off then try thing i mentioned above.

Probably not, but i doubt your friends even know half of the people they are friends with on facebook. I have a little over 2,000 and i only know a few hundred because people add me because im a friend of a friend so when adding people i get added because it suggest me.

Over time if the person met a lot of people then sure it's possible to have over 1000 friends. Of course, it's not possible for the person to be that close with all of those people though.

You can have maximum 5000 friends on Facebook. To have more than that you have to convert your personal account to a Facebook Page then all friends will convert in likes and there is no limit of likes
