Twitter Help !! Not sure where tweet has gone?

Hi

Ive just signed up to twitter and not sure if im doing it right!

I've followed a person and i've then sent them a tweet that atarted with @ then their name.

They dont follow me so will they get the message?

The message has appeared on my page, its not on therir page so not sure if they have got it or not - how do i check?

May be your tweet is protected but don't know whether they receive the msg 'coz i too have the same prob..regarding that

They most likely will see that you mentioned them using @ but they may or may not reply back. If you both follow each other using Direct Messaging ensures they will see your comment, but again they choose whether to reply or not. If it is somebody who is really famous the get a ton of tweets so they most likely wont respond but sometimes they will respond. Hope that helps.

Your tweets don't appear on someone else's page unless they "re-tweet" it.
They will get your message. They may not reply.
