What does it mean on SWTOR if ur a preferred status player?

For payment in SWTOR u can pay a full account and it says u will become a preferred status player. Wat does this mean?

When you purchase anything in game from SWTOR that is at least $4.99 (using real money lie: Cartel coins, in game expansion, deluxe pack, etc), you automatically get bumped up to preferred status. Preferred status gives you a bit more options than F2P (Free to Play) players, however have a lower status than subscribers (who have the best access to in game features). If you purchase an in game subscription and it expires/fail to renew, you automatically get downgraded to preferred status.
