Facebook company page problem. Major frustration!!!!?
My problem is I started a company page back in 2011 on facebook called hands-on-diy.co.uk. I didn't do anything with it at the time as I was more busy getting my business off the ground. Anyway, recently I've tried accessing my company page, and now I've got the following problems-
1) I cannot do anything with it! I somehow cannot edit it or even delete it so that I can start again! I asked all the people who previously "Liked" the page to unlike it, which they all have, in the hope that I might be able to delete it somehow, but still no joy. When I click on the "Edit" tab all I get is the following- (screenshot)

2) If I click on the cog next to edit all I get is this drop-down menu- (screenshot)

I've even tried to report it but don't get anything back!!

3) It says that 1 person Likes this, when obviously there isn't because when you click on "1 person likes this" it comes up with"No results found".... Because everyone I asked unliked it!!!

4) Whenever somebody else, ie my sister or my wife try to search for hands-on-diy, on their facebook page it comes up with "No results found" but when I search for it, it comes up! Yet I cant edit, delete or do NOTHING with it!

All I want to do is use facebook to promote my business, I've tried creating a facebook page under the title hands-on-diy.co.uk but facebook wont allow it because of this dam page that I cannot get rid of!

I have trawled through the help pages but nothing there answers my question, I've posted a question on the help centre but I got one answer that was of no help what-so-ever and even then they never reply back. I've tried reporting the page, nothing!!

I feel so frustrated about this as there is nothing I can do and facebook are of no help at all, and they don't have no point of contact to complain to!!

Please someone help me with this issue as your help will be MUCH appreciated. I might even send you a prezzie in the post if you help solve it Wink

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your answer Elaine but just to add to the detail-

Sorry about the first image, didn't realise but its on public now Smile

I set up the page using my current email address and password that I have now, its the only one I've ever had! So I don't understand that bit!!

Also, it wasn't an ACCOUNT called hands-on-diy, it was quite simply, just a page I set up, called hands-on-diy, with the dashes being used, which also wasn't a problem, and just using my facebook account, to try and promote my handyman business. It was more straight forward back then, but when I returned to it after a year or so of not using it, Facebook seemed to have changed things around!

And as for emails, I don't have or was never sent any in the first place. It was simply just a simple page that I cannot edit or do anything with... anymore!!

And as for facebook having around 1.2 billion users and close on 3 billion accounts doesn't mean they are entitled to give a crap customer

Your first image is private - we can't see it.

You need to log in to Facebook with the email address and password that you set the page up with, not your own Facebook account.

You can't have an account called hands-on-diy.co.uk - Facebook won't allow the dashes. Are you sure that it isn't handsondiy.co.uk or some other variation to meet Facebook's rules?

Do you have the emails from Facebook from the time when you set it up that you could go back to and check the settings?

Unfortunately, because Facebook has around 1.2 billion users and close on 3 billion accounts, they won't offer any help; the number of people every day who forget passwords or accounts or whatever is just too huge.

Good luck.
