You could look at their friends and look at their activity to see if they are talking with people that are connected in some way...

Sometimes there is. For instance, if you see a girl or guy that's really good looking and they only get like a few likes on their picture, that could be a sign. If you think the pictures they're using look like different people, you could use a website called http://www.tineye.com to see if they got it from a website or whatever. And what it is is a reverse image search. Another way to tell if they're fake is if they don't have a lot of friends on their account. Also, you could tell possibly by their name. (Which may be an actual name but you never know). You could also tell by where they say they go to school at or what they have as where they live. Lastly, if they have a picture with a bunch of people in it and they're saying one of those people is them, see if they tagged anyone else. With that many people one of them is sure enough to have an account.

the only true way to know if someone is real is to ask to see them on webcam - if they say they dont have a webcam, they are lying, and the account is fake
