How to "hide" a friend on facebook & what's that all do?

I have a friend on facebook that annoys the crap out of me, one of those people that has to post stuff to get attention. Anyway I don't want to delete them cuz I don't want to hurt their feelings. So I was told I can hide their posts so I wont see it on my newsfeed. But I'm wondering how this all works. So first off, how do I hide them? Secondly, if I hide them will they be able to see what I post? If so, and they comment on what I post will I be able to see that?

yes, you can easily hide their posts

if you dont want them seeing your posts then add them to your restricted list

they will not be notified of you doing either of these things, but they might notice they cannot see your updates anymore

You Can Hide Them From your News Feed To The Right of there Posts Click on the arrow Than Click on Hide You Can Still See There Updates From There Profile and you Can Still Comment On There Updates And If They Post Something on your Status Updates Or Photos or What Ever you Can See it if you Dont Want your Comments Shown On Other Peoples News Feed Add The person Who you Dont Want to See to the Restricted List
