I think it's down in the UK, by the sounds of it, checking on twitter and google and stuff. It's down for me, but not on my mobile phone for some reason.
There's this good website called downrightnow.com it has a list of websites and tells you which ones are most likely down for everyone and which ones aren't, it's saying facebook is down as well.

Mine isn't working either. The webpage won't load, and I'm not sure why. It worked fine an hour or so ago.
But I don't think it's down, just some Facebook errors, most likely.

The best way to know if any site is down or up you should follow these steps.
1) Go to command prompt pressing windows key & r together.
2) Type "ping site-name.com (eg. facebook.com)" without quotes.
3) If reply is RTO (Request Timed Out) then that site is down.
