How to Block my dad from receiving my facebook updates?

My dad forced me to accept his friend request. Now is there a way to block my dad from receiving my updates in news feed, block from visiting my timeline, my friends and all other activity. Also did facebook send him a message if I block/unfriend him?

no facebook will not send any message if u block him....and while posting any content u can use the custom privacy....which means u can select dont share with this person.

Blocking your dad:

You can try to create a new list, with limited profile, then you can post your status with a specific list, and in this way, your Dad, will not be able to do notice this, being in your friend list, he will not doubt anything. Blocking him will end up with another conversation. So try to use FB features, as shown here

If you block or un-friend your father they will Facebook will not send him any message or notification. So done it. But it is better make another profile that will be much easy.
