Why does facebook ruin my image quality?
So I have this edited, Photoshopped picture and when I upload it to facebook, it totally messes up the quality. My face is no longer recognizable and this has never happened before. It doesn't matter whether I put it as my profile picture or as an album pic.
NOTE: I made it so that the picture is 20kb (that's less than how big pictures are when you download them from fb) and it's still exactly the same result. It's also an ordinary RGB color mode, 8 bit/Channel image (Photoshop settings).

Here's the photo I'm trying to use:

Any way to fix this?
Thanks.

Best answer is to not post it to Facebook. Facebook applies additional compression to uploaded images. This can go unnoticed with regular images, but will ruin images like yours that have similarly colored areas.

Other image host sites like Flickr will keep your images at top quality, or with much less quality loss.
