Is there an option to protect instagram account?

So I'm planning to create an instagram account, and I believe people can view the pictures you post. I woudnt want some random people see my pics. Is there an option to protect the account? And how does instagram work? I basically love the effects it gives to a pic, can we save it after using the effects on a pic?
Also please recommend me cool fun girly usernames.

Yes u can set it to private. Then only people u approve to follow u will be able to see them. I love instagram. Too me its like a social site but with wayyyy less drama and bickering! Just people sharing photos. Also I'm not sure if every phone does but everytime I post a pic to IG it automatically saves a copy... and as far as chhosing a username goes. Make it something people can read I hate seeing " fgczg22601 liked your photo"

There is an option to protect your account. Just go to settings. I got my Instagram protected and I absolutely love it. Instagram is basically an app where you can take pictures, edit them and share them with your Instagram followers. The best way to get Instagram followers is to simply ask your friends what's their Instagram names or to connect Instagram with your Facebook and it will show you a list of all your friends with Instagram and you can follow them and they can follow you back. You can save your pictures after it edit! Advice on the col fun girly name, I suggest that you use your favorite song title and add something cool, fun, and girly to it. Hope this helped you it !
