how come certain posts can't be seen on a facebook profile?

My friend always posts about and tags her bf tht she loves very dearly and whenever I go to her profile I see every post he's tagged in, the confusing part is I'm friends w her bf too and one time I went to his pro and didn't see any of the posts he was tagged in by her.. o_O But there were other posts on his profile that his other friends tagged him in, which he liked and commented on.
Now every time I see her post about n tag him, I'm so curious to go check to see if it's on his pro.. n it nvr is! I love my friend very mch n dnt want her to be hurt, so i haven't told her about ths invisibility
on his pro.. bt he iiis known to be a big time player n they're constantly splitting up over jealousy/trust issues. so my real question is.. cld it be he's hiding her tagged posts frm his timeline..? And also, the pics she takes w him n tags him in aren't in his photos or on his timeline either.. Is he trying to look single, or is Facebook designed a certain way. Ppl jst lemme kno pls!! Thkx!~

Facebook has ability to disable/enable tagging. Since you said that you could only see other post that his friend tagged him in but not hers, it could be that he himself hiding it.

If you can't see the pic that she tagged her bf in his Timeline it means he hide it. He actually miscalculated, he only hide it in his timeline, but actually that pic still can be seen by his friends too in their Newsfeed.
Just watch when next time your gf tag his bf, do you still see it in your Newsfeed? You may think that it's because you're the friend of this gf. Now, just unfriend her, then check again, do you still see it in your Newsfeed? This time must be because you're that boy's friend.
