Was Ask.fm created on the lines of FaceBook?

Is it mainly for teens? I heard a lot of bad things about it. Anyway FaceBook is no less, people just close their account.

Ask.Fm wasn't based on the like of Facebook.
Facebook is a social networking site where you can see who are your friends and you can choose who they are as well.
Basically Facebook lets you see peoples "activity" meaning that you know who these people are and if they are safe or not. Plus you can block people very easy.

On Ask.Fm it is said to be a Social Networking site as well only it's more on a question-answering website, you can talk to your friends on there but you can't see who your friends are and they can't see if you are there friend. People can ask you horrible questions anonymously so you won't know who they are and probably will never find out.

Ask.Fm is very dangerous a lot of young girls and boys in the UK have committed suicide because of the abuse they receive on this website.
Facebook has downsides too but it is much easier as you can see who is annoying you and block and report them straight away.
