Why can't I record Instagram videos?

Why can't I record Instagram videos?
I can watch them just fine, and I see my friends uploading videos, but I can't. The picture taking screen thing looks exactly how it does before they added video, and there is no record button or anything. I updated it, so why can't I record video? I have an htc vivid btw

You need Android Jellybean 4.1 and higher. Support for your device may come at a later time.
