The accounts will be deleted as Facebook and Twitter can get into trouble by allowing under age users.

Accounts will be deleted. But it hardly happens, because there are millions of underage people on facebook and twitter

They will post all sorts of embarrassing and ridiculous information about themselves plus enough personal information that someone can easily identify them. Then when they grow up and apply for a job, their prospective employer will discover this information and refuse to hire them. They will ultimately end up living with their parents until the parents die, then they will be forced to live in a cardboard box for the rest of their lives.

All because they lied about their age...

Absolutely nothing unless found out - then that account is deleted - and the likelihood of that happening is near enough....zero.!!

The is the 'huge problem' with the Internet - opening accounts is based on the 'extremely naive attitude' of these websites....the trusting of the individual opening the account.

Once the site request of....are you 18yrs or over etc (or a false date of birth given) is deliberately overruled by the person clicking 'yes' on the question (when the person is underage) the 'worldwide' internet pandora's box is opened for use by that under age person.

The 'ridiculous claim' made by these various web sites etc....that safety/filter features are in place etc....presupposes the honesty of billions of individual people in the first place....and 'that' is the complete 'childish pipe-dream' these website controllers on the Internet trust.

The Internet at any level is a very dangerous place to be - both for underage experimenters and naive people falling for all the 1.000's of scams that are out there in cyber land.!!
