How much do colleges check your twitter?

I just received a full ride scholarship for college and while reading the packet it talks about Internet rules. I don't care if they check my facebook because I never post anything on there really but how much will they check my twitter? I don't post anything bad but sometimes I may use a curse word or "fangirl" over a tv show. Will they just randomly check my twitter? Or just if they think I'm doing something bad (which wouldn't happen.) Are they more likely to just check my facebook? Thanks!

If you are using your real name for your twitter account, and is a public account, both colleges and employers will "google" you and that twitter account will show up in the first spots, so my suggestion is, either change your username, make your account private, or just delete it.
