You can hide those things you don’t want made public in the ticker.

1. Go to your profile page. Look for the “Recent Activity” portion of your feed. Find the activity that you want to hide and click the blue X to pops up next to it.

2. A menu pops up with several choices.

3. Hide this action from my profile will remove this one line of activity.

4. Hide all recent like activity from my profile will hide ALL of this type of activity from your wall. It will also keep this type of activity from showing in the ticker to the side for everyone.

Follow these steps to hide posts about new friend connections, page likes, comments you leave for others etc. Pretty much any activity on your news feed can be hidden if you choose to.
