How do you stop someone from coming up in your chat when they're online?

Can't delete him, but how do I stop him from seeing everything I like and from him coming up in my favourites in chat on facebook?

Turn off chat they won't see youu and u won't see them (individually)
go to the setting wheel on chat then do it..

Why don't you block him? i'm not sure why you'd want to hide everything from someone and still be friends with them.

Click Chatting ➤ click cog icon on top right ➤ Advance Chat Setting ➤ click Turn On Chat for All Friends except ➤ fill in the name of the one you don't want to chat with ➤ click the name in blue ➤ Save.
