I turned off chat for my mum and she can still see when I'm online and stuff! Help!!!?

I turned off chat for my mum! I DONT KNOW WHY SHE CAN STILL SEE WHEN IM ON. I don't want her to see when I'm online, how long i've been online for because then she can tell when I'm not doing homework and I hate it. PLEASE HELP. THANKS x

sometimes we can see the persons in chat option without signal...,
that doesn't means he/she in online....something strange happens there somehow...
so thats her prediction may be...,
"the green signal were off and your name stills in chat may be thats why she predicts your are online...
next time
told her confidently "you are not in online...blah blah.."
then she will move back

you turn off chat, but you are posting and commenting here and there am I right?. no need knowledge or any skill for that. it's not a good advice but hope answering your problem:
1. turn off your activity being listed in your timeline and your friend's timeline. or not to be displayed in certain account, in this case your 'MUM'. I believe there's this feature as I am not Facebook activist.
2. block your mom by put her account in your blacklist though it will get even more problems lol.

3. do as your mum says and be a good kid and finish your homework
