Do you need a social for people to add you on fb?

I didn't have much of a social life when i made an account on fb in 2009. I deleted it at the end of 2011 because i was addicted and replaced my addiction with fitness. Now people stare, look twice sometimes repeatedly and i didnt even have one photo of myself on facebook on my old account.
I made a new account because i have more confidence now and thought because i look different (physically) people would add me but i was wrong.
Do you need to have a reputation (social life) for people to add you

Did you Try Adding them At All You Cant Expect People to Know you Have a Facebook Just Because you Signed up For a Account if you Did And If They Didint Accept it They Probably Dont Wanna Connect With you As Far as i Know You probably Need Some Kind of Social Life For People to Add you Facebook Keep in Mind is a Place to Connect with Friends and Family In Real Life Not A Place to Contact or Meet Strangers
