won the Facebook lottery?
so my brother just got a message from someone with an Indian name that he won 1,000,000 GBP and gave us two email addresses and asked us to provide them with basic info. and a phone number I called them and the dude seemed Legit and asked me to send them an email
the question is,is there such thing as Facebook Lottery?
to Duncan, yes I pretty much predicted that was a scam so I asked my brother to call with the public telephone, and after I told him that we sent the email he said He'll check the inbox and dropped the call...and he's not answering anymore! I'm thinking about reporting him

No such thing.
NEVER give out personal info like that. They can commit fraud by taking your details and ID.

As the above person said, it is a fraud. A scam to get your personal information. Research Social Engineering.

You have called them so now they have your phone number and you have confirmed that the email address they used is active. Brace yourself.

First lotteries run by anything except the state governments are illegal in America. It would be illegal for Facebook to run a lottery.

Second before you could win the lottery you would have to enter it. Which I assume you never did.

Facebook is an American company. Why would the award their prize in Indians currency? Or have you contact someone in India for information?

If they were able to email you that you were the winner, why do they need your email address? That indicates that this was a massive email to millions of people, not to you personally. Now they are trying to sucker you into giving them information.

It is a scam.

it's a scam
Facebook DOES NOT have any lottery
The ONLY legal lottery giving away GBP is the British National Lottery which is ONLY open to British citizens who BUY a ticket from a lottery ticket agent in the UK

Report him

There is NO lottery in the world that informs random winners by mail. You also cannot win any lottery if you did not BUY a lottery ticket. That's the definition of a lottery
