I have a Facebook question?

I've got a stupid question about Facebook, that will probably be pretty easy to answer.

For a little while now, I have been seeing some people on many different topics on Facebook respond to anything by posting a seemingly random persons name, usually looks like a foreign name. Now I do use an older computer with windows xp, I have no idea if that has anything to do with it or not. But are these responses glitches or are these people just being stupid?

They're probably telling the person to check the post out by tagging their names. Is it in blue color? Then that's the case. They're calling their friends, but lazy to put "Hey (insert tagged name here), check this out!"

If it's in black, standard color, they're probably trying to tag their friend in but they don't know how to.
