Will middle-class Republicans be glad when Social Security is only a memory?
Will you please keep voting Republican so that Republican Congressmen (and women) can privatize Social Security & put it on the stock market like they did our retirement (401k'S), not to mention the equity we ONCE HAD in our homes? Republicans have been trying to privatize SS for years. Gonna let them??

Social Security shouldn't be privatized in my opinion but it has grown to exponential levels. It wasn't supposed to be THE source of income but was only meant to be a safety net for those who happened to not save enough.

I with they'd just get rid of the SS altogether! It's already bankrupt and was a horrible plan anyway that encouraged people to 'just make by' until they could sit back and retire. It completely discouraged personal financial responsibility.
Plus, I've paid into it my whole working life and I doubt any will be left for me by the time I retire. I'd rather just have my money. |

I would at least know where my money is now all that is in the fund are IOU's.Only the ignorant think that if privatized you would be worse off.

In Britain we pay for our Social Security Pension. From the time we start work until we retire a percentage of wages or salary is stopped automatically every payday. It will be a sad day if it is changed ,it has been going since the early 1900s.
