Why isn't anyone receiving my fb messages?

Okay, so I sent a message to someone via Facebook, whom I have no friends in common with and who I don't have as a friend neither.. I can't add him as a friend since he doesn't have the 'add as friend' option which has obviously something to do with his settings.. And I also have no source of contact! I found him on fb and then sent him a message, I could see them but I don't think he can.. I then made a new fb and sent a message to myself to see if I got them.. I didn't! What's the problem?!?!

Very odd... Maybe your Facebook is having a down time period. I would wait until the next day and try again. If they don't work try the internet for similar problems.
