I received an email from facebook that said they sre updating facebook, as in updating their data use policy and other stuff. I really didnt understand the email and it gave me a link and all the comments are saying that facebook is basically gonna take our personal information and use it in advertising. I really dont understand this at all because thats not what the emaik said??? What the hell is going on with this new update and why is our personal info involved?? If anyone got the email please explain whats going ti be happening with the updates on facebook,

Facebook is recently upgrading their Advertising codes. The newest technology involves showing you relevant ads when you are on Facebook based on location, age and sex. Advertising is the only way Facebook makes money, so they'll keep improving it.

As for the email, its just a formal intimation. I haven't received it yet. Maybe, it might appear shortly. Be careful about Spam though. Any emails asking you for your Facebook id and password, email address -- ignore it!!
