trying to add someone to fb, but we cant see each other's friend request!?

HELP!
i'm trying to send a friend request on facebook,
it says: friend request sent,
the girl i'm trying to send the friend request too had also tried, but she got the same thing!
and we both cant see each other's friend request,
and if she sends me a message i can see it and we chat at the inbox, and not at other....

BTW,
we both checked all the privacy settings and all of them are fine!

That's weird, maybe FB glitch? How long it has happened? Give FB time to fix itself, you can't do anything.
