Problem with Facebook timeline cover photo?

Recently, whenever I upload a new cover photo, the picture also ends up under the "your photos" tab. This enables random people I'm not friends with to click on the cover photo and scroll back and forth through every picture I've ever posted on Facebook. This never used to happen, as random people used to only have the ability to view old and current cover photos and none of my other photos. All of my album settings are set so that only my friends can view the photos, the problem is with the "your photos" tab. Is there a way I can prevent this from happening?

If you really meant "Your Photos" when you look at your own album, it's just kind a window dressing of all your photos.

Others will see it as [Your first name]' Photos, and will only see that's allowed to be viewed by that specific others you set by your audience setting per photo or per album.

Notes: Cover Photos, either the album or the individual photos in there is always Public, so it's indifferent.
