That generalization is dangerous. While there are elements of truth in it, it is hyperbolic and describes a position more radical than most actual Democrats would support.

However, many Democrats are CRITICAL of free markets because free markets tend to distribute wealth unequally, and this creates feelings of resentment and jealousy that are the underpinnings of class warfare.

But it is important to realize that most well-informed Democrats do not want to eliminate free markets. They recognize that the wealth creation engine of markets is irreplaceable. Instead they want to temper it and manipulate it to correct what they see as it's faults.

Of course these efforts impose inefficiencies and distortions that undermine free markets nature as a wealth creating engine, thereby making the society as a whole poorer.

Democrats do not hate the free market. Democrats hate the way the rich use it to get an advantage, more than they already have.
And if you do not like social services then who will come to help you if your house is on fire? Because firemen work with social services.

Free Market brand of Capitalism is inherently anti-Christian, as it allows for Mammon and Greed to completely overtake and abuse the freedom that Capitalism gives to it's citizens. Capitalism provides freedom, but it must be regulated.
Social Services are a by product of a moral society that cares about it's citizens.
Why do you want to move further away from the Christian principles of our country?
