Is it just me or is there something wrong with people on Facebook?

I just registered a few days ago and all I see is people posting what they are doing, what they are eating and some even put pictures! Like who cares!? Then there are stupid post that likes cure cancer! Seriously? People believe that stuff! Then I see people posting drunk pictures of themselves. Just today I saw a friend putting up pictures of himself sticking the finger and he had a post talking crap about his manager. We work together and he's lucky I'm not a snitch.

Does Facebook make people this way? I'm thinking of deleting account if so.
