How does Facebook know my actions?
Recently I posted on craigslist about selling my dehumidifier. Today when I opened facebook my timeline had an ad for that specific dehumidifier for overstock.com. I did post an image of the dehumidifier with the product number on craigslist, but it should have nothing to do with facebook. How is facebook catching this information? It's kind of creepy.

Some websites put tracking cookies on your computer which basically lets the website see what you search for and do on the internet so that it can change the adverts it shows you. Obviously Facebook has a tracking cookie that has seen you post the dehumidifier and changed the ads. There is a way of disabling this but it depends on your browser, just google how to disable tracking cookies. Also any anti virus software should remove any malicious ones
