Why do some people on Facebook put a space between punctuation?

They do it with their periods, explanation points, and even their commas! I just find it stupid because its actually more time consuming. You're basically taking one more second to put in a space between the words and punctuation. Last time I checked they didn't teach me to do that in 2nd grade -,- its just really annoying. I don't know why, it just is. What is the reasoning for this? I think it's to either show strong emotion (ex: happy, pissed off, ect) or they're just plain stupid.

Maybe they think that it will help the punctuation stand out or something....or it makes it easier for things to be read. It's not a big deal, just people's personal preferences.
