There should be a delete account button under account settings. After requesting deletion stay away from fb for two weeks. There's a fourteen day period during which the deletion can be terminated by accessing your account.

Get it from FB settings. Its very easy. You can also make your profile hidden from the world, when you again feel to make it live you can.

First deactivate:

1.Log into Facebook. In the upper right corner on your home page, click the down arrow. Then click "Account Settings." On the left side of screen, click "Security." Scroll down the page and click "Deactivate account".

2.Arrive at the page that will ask you, "Are you sure you want to deactivate your account?" You will see a group of your friends appear in very large photos, enticing you to remain.

Confirm that you are sure by clicking the appropriate button.

3.Check the box to describe why you are deactivating.

4.Fill in the text box to "explain further" (optional).

5.Check the box for "Email opt out." Doing this lets you opt out of receiving future emails from Facebook. If you don't select this, your friends can still invite you to events, tag you in photos or ask you to join groups. Opting out prevents them from sending emails and notifications anymore.

6.Press the "deactivate" button. Your account will now be "hidden" from other viewers on Facebook. However, you will still have the option of re-activating your account at any time.

Then Delete Account:

1.Visit the account deletion page https://ssl.facebook.com/help/contact.ph...e_account. You will be reminded that this is a permanent deletion and that your account cannot be reactivated and that none of the content or information you have added can be retrieved.

2.Click "Submit." Follow the steps, such as entering your password, email, and CAPTCHA code.

3.Do not log in for the next 14 days and your account will be deleted completely.
If you change your mind before the 14 days are up, just log in and this will reactivate your account.
