Does a person know when you block them on FB?

Hi, There is this person that I blocked on Facebook. I was wondering if they'll get a notification or not?

No not at all.
I've blocked many people. Also once I blocked my mom so we could test it. She wasn't notified through email or anything. So its fine.

FB don't give any notification.
That person may eventually find it out when they wandering why they never see your update again in their Newsfeed and try to go to your Timeline, that of course they can't do that anymore as you've blocked them.

Nope, Facebook is generous when it comes to your privacy and rights to pick and choose who can see posts, view your profile, and who you just would like to dispose of completely.

They won't get a notification, but it is possible that they can find out. It's not that difficult to find out.
