My internet got shut off but i can still use facebook?

I use virgin moble mifi and my internet got shut off on 16th but I've been able to still get on facebook, spotify, and google. Why can i do this? whenever i try to go to Runescape or something it redirects me to the virgin moble website and asks me to get a plan. it even says service expires on 9/16/2013... weird!!!!
is there a way that i can get on other sites without buying internet?

A number of service providers include usage of fixed sites such as Google, Facebook, Spotify and services such as Whatsapp for free and without incurring any data usage charges. These sites and services can also be accessed despite your internet plan expiring. However, there is no way for you to access sites other than the ones your service provider allows you to. You could give them a ring and ask them about what sites and services are available to you without incurring data usage. There might be more free content out there. Hope this helps.
