If I send someone a chat message on facebook...?

I think I may have screwed up lol. I wanted to send my friend a private message on facebook (Like in the message section where only that person can see it), but I think I started a chat with them instead. I typed the message into the chat bar on the bottom right hand side of the screen.


When I go to look at my messages, it shows up there though
Anyways will that person be able to see it when they log in again even if it is in the chat section??

Yep, if their chat is not on it will show up in their message box. They will see it.
