Why do people make status' about having 'no friends' yet they have over 100 friends on Facebook?

They may also have at least 5 likes on their status. This has been really bugging me lately. Is this just attention seeking or do these people get mistreated by their actual friends outside of Facebook?

Facebook friends really mean that he/she knows people. since this person is likely in school, having facebook friends means nothing

Some people have friends on facebook not because they talk to them/class them as friends, but they know each other e.g they go to the same school or work in the same place and can put a name to their face and stuff. They're probably just saying it cause they're bored, my sister does that all the time.

I think they just mean they don't have any genuine real life friends not talking about their facebook online friends. Sometimes it's attention seeking sometimes it's just the person venting - also the likes could just be distance online friends doesn't mean they actually have friends! Haha

attention whores they crave attention its all they want its what they live off. also i have 1000 plus friends on fb they don't really reflect on how much friends you have in real life hope this helps

I have same problem no one comments and like my status most of time. most of the people create fake accounts on facebook. About anyone famous. Then start sending requests because its a famous person facebook account but actually it isn't.

The people who make status about having no friends. They want more and more friends. The friends they already have might not communicating with them or just they want to show of how many friends they have.
