I'm getting notified for other people posting things. Help?

On Facebook, I logged onto 89 notifications and none were for me. They were notifying me that my friends posted something on their personal page that had nothing to do with me. Is there a way I can disable it without going through each friend and clicking off the "Get Notifications?"

Click on the notification, and on the bottom of the status where you see the "Like" button and "Comment" there's a button that says "Unfollow" post. If that's not working, Click the gear on the top right hand corner, look for account settings and click that. Then you will see on the left hand corner, a link that says "Notifications Settings." And see which one works for you
