Apple does not have that ability on an iPad.

There are two ways to do this:
(a) Change your Facebook privacy settings to only your friends or people you trust. That way, any location data that gets broadcast via digital check-in services like Facebook, Foursquare or even Twitter, remains confined to your trusted private space. (b) You can go one step further with this and activate iPad encryption to prevent Facebook or other websites from tracking you. This hides your IP address and prevents your physical location from being broadcast to the open public. Here's how it works: http://tabletsecurity.ellsed.com This option doesn't require you to tinker with your existing Facebook privacy settings and will safeguard your privacy even if your FB settings are public. I use tablet encryption as a software app to secure my iPad as well as to mask my IP address / geographical location. That way, I'm not tracked and my real location is known only to me and my trusted friends & family. More on iPad encryption: http://ipadsecurityissues.blogspot.com/2...trong.html |
