Do You Think This Facebook Page Is A Scam?

So, I found this FB page and their bio says that they are devoted to award alt models, photographers, & makeup artists nation wide...then they say Model Of The Year gets $1000+Prizes+Trophy! I visited their website and it says that aspiring models can also apply.
I really want to enter but my Mom says that it is all a scam. But, if it was really a scam then why is the official Model Mayhem on Twitter following them?
I'm confused. What do you guys think?

Not 100% sure, but I believe it's a scam.Just be careful.

Check the webs site out with Consumer affairs or the Better Business Bureau. There is nothing on the Web that says this is a Scam, Nothing says it is a Fraud and there are no filed complaints against them. I already check this.
