Why can't I update my Facebook on my iPhone 5?

Every time I download the update, it ends up reverting back to the old look after it's first use. Help!

maybe there are reason that facebook has changed something about users has plugin their phones online. you should get online by using your computer or laptop and try to log in to facebook then see there you can use your phone by that way. if not then means facebook team must had block the connection from cell phones. or you can go to the cell phone store that you had brought your phone from and can ask the employer who works there can help you out with it . do you have the old facebook profile then the timeline profile? because the facebook has changed to timeline this year. maybe the other reason its not working for your phone. .
