if i block someone from seeing my status will they know?

i know it will not show on their newsfeed, but ...okay basically long story short im due this sunday and my step father is in jail and he gets out sunday, if i go over my due date that side of the family wants to go to the hospital and i dont want them to be there. if i go over my due date they want to induce me next saturday and i dont want them seeing that. so in other words if i block my grandma but not my mom, and my mom likes my status will it show on my grandmas newsfeed that she liked my status?
okay do i need to ask this again cause you guys are not answering my question, first of all it doesnt matter why i want to put it on there maby because im excited and i want all my friends and MOST of my family to know. they are still my family im not going to block or delete them i just want to block them from a specific status that i post and i want to know that if my mom is friends with me and my grandma both. if i block my grandma and my mom likes my status will it show on my grandmas newsfeed that my mom liked my status that she is blocked from!

No.if you block someone or choose what you sharing to whom,they cant see.as long as you are blocking them or adding them in your news feed while posting.
make sure you check them from seeing.they cant see but rest will.
just look for the sharing options while posting.

If you block someone on Facebook they can't see anything..ur profile does not exist on their Facebook....buuuuut if say now u block ur Gran and ur mom has her as a friend..and she tags u in a status or a picture, your name will show..and she will be able to see it, just cannot view your profile as ur name is black and doesn't give them a option to view it...they could either think u deleted FB..but no as to ur mom liking a stat, ur gran will not see it

Why do you even have these people on your friends list? You should just delete everyone you don't want to know about your life. With so many friends of friends, there's no guarantee that even a blocked person will not see your posts.

Also, there is no need to post your due date or induce date on Facebook. There's a thing called a telephone. You can call the important people in your life and tell them, or, tell them in person if they live close. This way, your friends and family that you actually want to know this information, but the others won't. It's not necessary to post something like this on Facebook, especially since you have people on your list that you really don't want to know about your life.

After you have the baby and the two of you are home, you can post a picture and an update then. But, if there are people you don't want to see this, you need to delete them from your friends' list.

It shouldn't. if that were the case, I would have allot of people bitching at me for what I put on Facebook.
