How to get more followers on Instagram?

I got an Instagram on Friday, and I only have 107 followers. My username is brittanyfornefeld. I was just wondering how to get more followers faster? I use a fair amount of tags and I like other people's photos and stuff like that. I don't ask for shoutouts because I think that's really annoying. But if it works I'll try. I just need advice please!

Look what I've done.
I follow everyone who I see.
I follow back everyone who follows me.
You can write it in your profile.. For example you can write " Follow me, I follow back! "
Or you can write a comment on some popular photos and say that you follow back everyone who follows you.
If you follow more people , you will get more followers!
The bad thing about it is that the number of people who you yourself follow becomes much more than the people who follow you! Just this!
So you can try what I've done!

I agree with the second answerer. He has some good points. And I totally agree with you, people asking for shoutouts are SUPER annoying! On my personal account I have around 150 followers, but I also have a fan page for Audrey Hepburn [@audreyhepburnfans] where I have something like 1400 followers. People sometimes ask for shoutouts and I just ignore it & refuse. Shoutouts are really annoying!
