How to make my pictures on instagram look like this?

Go on @itscaroo and @heypaigey on instagram and you will see that they make their photos look simple, clean, tidy and much brighter, I have tried making mu picture's lighting brighter but it just doesn't look the same, what effect makes their photos look like this and what app?

I'm not sure if they're using a specific app, although they must have a high quality phone camera (most likely iPhone 4s or iPhone 5). Try taking your pictures in natural lighting; not yellow light from lightbulbs. They could also be using some photo filtering apps to change the saturation or brightness of the picture. These apps can basically be found all over the app store.
