I need facebook help ASAP!!?

Ok so this person I'm friends with on Facebook lives in my town and I've spoken to them probably once in real life and never on facebook. She goes to a college in Ireland (we're from Boston) and I am interested in applying to that college. Would it be weird if i sent her a message asking her about it?? I'm a girl also if that makes any difference and I'm 5 years younger than her. What should i say in the message, if you think i should even send one. Any help is much appreciated! If you have met before that should be fine. Write something like "Hi ***, I'm not sure if you remember me but we met a while back. I was contracting because I was interested in attending *** and someone mentioned you attended that school. I was hoping toy could give me your opinion"

It is not weird as long as you don't sound stalkerish...lol Let her know that you are from the same town as her, if you are not sure she will remember you. Just be honest about it and ask her for advise.

Just send her a message and say "hey I'm interested in applying at the college you go to, and I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me" and if she messages you back, ask her whatever you want to know. It wouldn't be weird at all.
