On Facebook. If I changed a message on my time line from friends of friends to just friends?

I had a message that said friends of friends.. if I change it back to just friends. Will the message go back to just friends an everyone that saw it that weren't my friends would the message disappear from sight?
I meant Post not message..

THE one you saw is not a message, it is a post on your timeline...!!
if you change it from friends of friends to just friends, only your friends can see it in their news feed
friends of friends will not be able to see it in their news feed
however, friends of friends or non-friends will be able to see it when they view your profile or timeline..!!
